We are seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to join our team. As a Bindery Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This is a crucial role in our printing operation, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various bindery equipment, such as cutters, folders and stitchers.
- Monitor production process to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
- Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain accurate records of production activities

Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Bindery Operator or similar role in a printing environment
- Proficiency in operating bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, stitchers, and collators.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of Bindery related production experience.
  • Cutter experience preferred.
  • Saddle stitcher experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the operations of the bindery a must.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.

Schedule:

  • Day shift.
  • Full time Position.
  • Monday to Friday.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills including typical production/manufacturing software.
  • Must be proactive and detail oriented to catch problems or inconsistencies and bring them to management’s attention.
  • Good organization skills to manage multiple different tasks each day.
  • Should be mechanically inclined to grasp the basics of machine operation and maintenance and fix problems with equipment as needed.

Training Requirements:

  • Attend onsite training course to become proficient in operating the Saddle Stitcher.

Physical Demands:

  • Constant lifting, standing, crouching, walking, and associated repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment.
  • Warehouse temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures.
