Responsibilities:
The Detail Manager manages the activities of all Detail related staff ensuring exceptional customer service and the attainment of Lithia’s performance targets. This individual is responsible for the hiring, training and development of all Detail personnel.
- Staff & train department in order to optimize customer opportunities and productivity.
- Ensure technical staff is properly trained and have the breadth of experience necessary to cover customer needs.
- Develop staff by setting and communicating performance/production expectations, monitoring performance, identifying development needs, coaching and mentoring.
- Greet and welcome all customers.
- Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
- Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects and restoring the appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces.
- Responsible for preparation and applications of vehicle protection packages.
- Restoring appearance of vehicles to new or like-new condition.
- Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot.
- Review repairs before delivering vehicle to customer to ensure quality of work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area & lot.
Qualifications:
- Previous Automotive Detail Management a plus
- Communication, training skills
- Basic computer skills
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence

High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required. Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence necessary for select roles.
