Job Description:

PURPOSE OF JOB: The Development Coordinator works closely with all members of the Marketing and Development department but primarily assists with project management and special events. The successful candidate is responsible for coordinating and managing project intake, building timelines, helping to assign tasks, price out projects, and support all special events, including sponsorships and e-commerce. In this capacity, s/he will also serve as liaison to Doylestown Health's Marketing department. The Development Coordinator will also perform duties related to the support of fundraising, communications and events and will support and help achieve an annual fundraising goal of $10-$25M.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as a project manager for marketing, development and communications
  • Support all special events that fall within the Advancement office
  • Oversee and coordinate the organization's sponsorships and e-commerce
  • Perform duties related to the support of fundraising, communications and events to support the Directors of Marketing, Communications and Development and the members of the Foundation team.


Job Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of related experience is required. Knowledge of special events, fundraising, marketing, or communications is essential.

  • Familiarity with project management tools and best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing special events.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Excellent copywriting skills required. Experience with e-commerce a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong team player and adaptable; ability to work independently; good interpersonal skills; attention to detail is a must.

  • Excellent time management skills required. Demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept to completion within aggressive timelines; flexibility and capability of handling urgent matters in an effective manner.
  • Must have professional demeanor and use excellent judgment in working with executive level faculty/staff/donors/board members/committees/volunteers.

  • Working knowledge of Blackbaud products, Raiser's Edge and Online Express, preferred.
