Forest Ridge offers a level of comfort and care unmatched in the area including physical rehabilitation, memory care and long-term care.Purpose:Nurse Staffing and Development Coordinator is a nursing admin position with the primary purpose of your job position for staffing is to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the nursing units to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census and as directed by DON and Administrator; and for development is to plan, organize, present, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.Requirements:
Current and unencumbered Nurse Registered Nurse licensure
Detail Oriented/Experience in skilled nursing or sub-acute care setting preferred, but not required.
Excellent customer service skills, dedication and commitment to providing quality healthcare services.
Excellent ability to operate effectively and efficiently in an enthusiastic, resident-focused, work environment.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Supervisory and leadership skills
Professional appearance
Desire to be a part of the new generation of healthcare professionals.
Good computer skills
Responsibilities:
Creating, updating and maintaining the nursing and CNA schedule. Actively working to fill staffing holes, and managing call offs.
Assist in development, presentation and tracking of staff training, especially for the nursing department, including new hire orientation.
Maintain adequate supplies for nursing care and OTC medication.
Assist with admissions as needed.
Assist the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing with projects as needed.
Represent nursing department in meetings as needed.
On-call as arranged
