Form of workAs a Development Assistant on the Substrate Protection Customer Development (SPS CD) team, you will help facilitate Pretreatment and Electrocoat projects assigned to the team. This team will be accountable for commercialization and support of all products developed for Auto OEM customers with collaboration on Auto Parts/IC projects. You will be a member of a team and reporting to the SPS CD Team Lead who manages the SPS platform. Additional opportunities also exist to support projects in other related capacities, such as the Testing Team.

Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehension and follow all company policies and EH&S guidelines.
Support projects through application and completion of several tests that vary in complexity.
Work in collaboration with team leaders, chemists, and other technicians.
Technical Effectiveness:
o Ability to work with customer technical leads and engineering organization informally and formally for ongoing project work.
o Maintain an accurate and neat notebook with proper documentation of results and observations.
o Completion of assigned project work within agreed upon timeframe.
Manage work within a team environment.
This is a new organization structure, and you will have an important role in supporting a new culture of performance-driven success. Support other teams and developing a familiarity with IT tools (GSM, RMT, NPD) and standardized processes will be important for success.
Qualifications
High School Diploma with classes in chemistry, mechanical, laboratory, math
Familiarity with Topcoat Application and Automotive OEM Testing
