Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems. Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person - Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolution - Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals - Set up and configure user accounts in Active Directory - Assist with network administration tasks such as LAN troubleshooting and firewall configuration - Perform software installations and upgrades - Analyze system logs and identify potential issues or trends - Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems - Document all support activities and resolutions in a ticketing system Skills: - Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 7/10) and Windows Server environments - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues - Experience with Active Directory user administration - Familiarity with network protocols and LAN troubleshooting - Knowledge of Linux operating systems is a plus - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join a dynamic IT team.
