Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Receives, tracks, coordinates installation of sign requests, reports of interpretative maintenance problems. Maintains signage and purchasing database. Makes determinations as to whether to consult management supervisor or other staff about non-routine matters.
- Identifies new print suppliers and vendors; utilizes institution purchasing system, maintains databases, and secures competitive bids.
- Produces signs using techniques including computerized lettering and other materials and equipment.
- Works independently and collaboratively with design team to design and produce in-house signs in a timely manner.
- Works with Director of Design in tracking all projects from concept to completion.
- Delivers signage for internal requests, plan your day boards, and other in-park marketing needs.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements and Specifications
- Associates Degree in Liberal Arts, Graphic Arts, or related field or four years’ equivalent combination of training and/or experience required.
- Three years comparable administrative/office/or sign production experience.
- Proficiency with database and word processing software, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel) required.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Software, mainly Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Time management skills required
- Strong organizational, communications, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work both independently and in teams.
- Ability to organize many small projects and meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of privileged information.
- English fluency at working professional proficiency.
- Cultural competency; experience and/or ability to work and interact effectively with a diverse, multicultural audience.
- A valid driver’s license is required at time of hire. Illinois residents must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license or obtain one within 90 days of hire. A valid out-of-state driver’s license is required for out-of-state residents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Access Database software a plus.
- Basic knowledge of environmental graphics, such as working with signage, banners, and large format digital printing preferred.
- Working knowledge of Macintosh computers and Creative Suite software preferred.
- Multilingual ability, Spanish fluency a plus.
