Maven is a full-service commercial real estate company focusing on urban retail leasing and investment sales. Our company was founded in San Francisco but has deep roots in Chicago. We are seeking an ambitious and hard-working individual to assist our retail brokerage team. An ideal candidate is a dedicated team player that can help primarily with graphic design work, but secondarily with administrative work, data collection, and research. A flexible schedule can be provided.
The position will support the firm’s marketing, mapping, new business pitches, property listings, etc. Primary responsibilities include concepting and creating graphic content for the firm’s marketing and business development efforts, and ensuring a cohesive use of images and visual communication standards, to both internal and external audiences. The marketing coordinator reports to the Managing Broker and coordinates with the home office in San Francisco. Although the
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide graphic support for regional marketing team and executive leadership
- Work with internal marketing team to brainstorm branding development initiatives for buildings and select clients
- Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce a wide range of graphic and/or illustrative material, from simple to complex (i.e. brochures, fact sheets, direct mail, etc.)
- Coordinate the production process; develop and write printing and/or other production specifications, and select appropriate production media and materials
- Design service line newsletters, internal leadership communications and regional client newsletters
- Design multimedia presentations as needed
- Execute client website maintenance and minor content updates
- Create graphics for local event and events under direction of regional marketing team
- Maintain relationship with all printing vendors
- Other design responsibilities as assigned by regional marketing team.
- Light administrative work, which may include invoicing, filing, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Arts, or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of post-college professional design and graphics experience
- Strong production skills and knowledge of print processes required - experience using both traditional process and web-based digital process providers
- Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat
- Adobe After Effects experience a plus
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to change course/direction on projects at a moment’s notice; ability to reprioritize tasks and timelines
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines; ability to work independently and to prioritize responsibilities; multi-tasking
- Creative flair with top-rate conceptual and visual skills; ability to take concepts and ideas and transform them into images
- Expert command of challenging / changing environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic about becoming an expert on how to uniquely communicate the company's vision through visual communication.
