Duties
- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the office's scheduling system (WinOMS)
- Maintain patient records and update any necessary information
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Collect payments from patients for services rendered
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure the reception area is clean and organized
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Dental Receptionist (at least one year)
- Knowledge of dental terminology
- Familiar with medical/dental billing
- Professional and courteous
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Professional demeanor and appearance
