AOMS Front Desk Job Description
Prior experience in oral surgery/dental is advantageous however not mandatory. A strong work ethic, good people skills, and a willingness to learn and grow is most important. The following is a list of responsibilities of this position, all of which can be learned and perfected with time and training:
- Greet patients in a kind and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Data entry
- Understand medical history to sufficiently alert doctors of issues affecting oral surgery
- Be aware of infection control protocol
- Assist in training new employees when indicated
- Assist doctors in medical emergency management - training provided including CPR
- Assist discharge personnel with post-op instructions, emergency management
- Maintain CPR Certification (training provided by employer)
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to first scheduled patient unless alternative arrival approved by doctor
- Interact with co-workers in a professional manner
- Maintain a presentable, professional appearance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
