Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Coordinator. The Front Desk Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk area, ensuring efficient and effective customer service, and managing administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance coverage and collect necessary patient information (we file for patients, but we are not in network)
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of data entry
- Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle billing and payment processing
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Proficient in using office management systems and software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) -willing to train on this
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role preferred (preferably 2 years experience - willing to train)
-Insurance filing knowledge (willing to train)
