Deli employees provide a high level of customer service and practice safe food handling procedures. All deli employees prepare a variety of hot and cold foods, offer samples, and recommend products to customers. They properly weigh, bag, price and cook deli merchandise for sale to customers. They operate scales, slicers, wrapping and cooking equipment. Deli employees maintain a clean and sanitized work area including the maintenance of tables, walls, floors, display cases, walk-in coolers/freezers, fryers and washing everyday cooking equipment. Deli employees assist with inventories, ordering/transmitting product and/or supply orders. Job requires standing for long periods of time and lifting a variety of different objects varying in weight. Must be atleast 18 years of age.
