Primrose School of Wayne is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet all visitors and ensure all security procedures are upheld.
- Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers
- Answer all calls in a courteous manner, take messages and provide relevant information to customers.
- Reply to email, telephone or face to face inquiries
- Schedule meetings and appointments and maintain school calendar.
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
- Must be willing to work with all age groups (Infants through Kindergarten), cover teacher absences as needed.
- Administer medication to students, check temperatures, and notify parents of student illness.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers
- Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Wayne and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children
- Assists in keeping school physically well kept, attractive, and safe
- Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
- Ability to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the School, including, but not limited to, other leadership team positions, teacher, food service teacher, and bus driver.
- Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions
- Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of Wayne Employee Handbook
- Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary
- Must be able to close the school Monday-Friday at 6pm
Desired skills and experience:
- Must meet requirements of local child care regulatory agency and Primrose School of Wayne
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field, and/or at least two years’ work experience in a licensed child care facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
