Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the valuation, design, testing, and implementation of technical and application support for designated components of the Management Information System (MIS).
- Act as a consultant to departmental managers seeking assistance with MIS data.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to information management and systems.

- Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Two to four years of progressive experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience with healthcare information systems, including installations/upgrades and analysis and support of financial or clinical/ancillary systems.

- Evaluate and coordinate problem resolution for issues related to information systems use and implementation.
- Assist in the development of testing scenarios for system enhancements and upgrades.
- Provide ongoing analysis, maintenance, and technical/functional support for information systems.
- Participate in the software migration and upgrade process.
- Assist in developing downtime procedures for computerized applications.
- Stay informed about new developments in healthcare and healthcare information systems through continuing education programs and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in CIS or Equivalent Work Experience
- License/Certification/Registration: None
- Experience/Skills Required:
- Preferred: Experience writing and analyzing SQL queries - MS SQL, Oracle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Core Competencies:
- Required: Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Preferred: Cache/IRIS DBA, InterSystems Cache/IRIS, Microsoft SQL DBA, Infrastructure Operations
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Linux Cache/IRIS DBA; VMware
