PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
TheCogitoDatabase Administrator creates and maintains the databases for Clarity and Caboodle. Maintains the Clarity Console and Caboodle Console used to transfer data nightly from your Epic operational database into your Clarity database, and then into the Caboodle database. Monitors and ensures that the extract, transfer, and load (ETL) process is completed daily. Coordinates the valuation, design, testing, implementation and provision of technical and application support for designated components of the Clarity and Caboodle databases. Serves as consultant to departmental managers seeking assistance these databases. Assist with the development of policies and procedures relative to the information management and systems. The Caboodle ETL Developer develops custom import packages to move additional data setsinto the Caboodle database.
Candidates will possess a Bachelors' Degree and/or equivalent work experience related to roles and responsibilities described above. The ideal candidate will possess two to four years of active and progressive experience in a healthcare environment that has provided knowledge of complex hospital operations. He/she must have prior experience with healthcare information systems including system installations/upgrades, analysis and support of financial, or clinical/ancillary systems.

Education Required
- Bachelor's Degree in CIS, Computer Engineering or Other
License/Certification/Registration(s) Required
- Epic Train Track:Cogito Systems Administration
- Epic Certifications relevant to the role
- Epic Train Track: Caboodle Development for Clarity Data
- Epic Train Track: Caboodle Development for Non-Epic Data
- If you are doing custom Caboodle development to bring in external data in order to meet your reporting needs, this certification is required for theGood InstallorHonor Roll Good Maintenance Grants. If you do not do this custom programming, this certification can be excluded.
Experience/Skills Required
- Preferred: Experience writing and analyzing SQL queries - MS SQL, Oracle
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical partners
