• Seeking a DB2 UDB/LUW DBA to join a leading financial services company in the heart of the US.
• With over 8 years of excellence in serving US companies, we seek a seasoned Senior DB2 Database Administrator
with a passion for innovation and a track record in the banking and brokerage sector.
Key Requirements:
• 8+ years of proven experience working with US companies.
• 4+ years of recent (within the last 4 years) banking or brokerage experience.
• Valid and up-to-date IBM DBA/DB2 LUW certification 11.1 and above (please include when submitting your resume).
• Extensive expertise with DB2 LUW Version 11.1 and above.
• Proven experience in HADR/Q-Replication and IBM Change Data Capture.
• Proficiency in multiple languages and tools.
• Hands-on experience with Salt scripting.
Responsibilities:
• As a Senior DB2 Database Administrator, you will be responsible for:
• Administering the build-out and support of DB2 LUW databases.
• Conducting capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning, and monitoring.
• Configuring and maintaining database security, with a focus on automation for task streamlining.
• Performing performance tuning, problem diagnosis and resolution, and participating in
multi-discipline triage of enterprise-wide incidents.
• Administering and troubleshooting ETL processes for decision support stores and data warehouses.
• Participating in a 24x7 production on-call rotation and providing support for production issues.
• Identifying and initiating resolutions to user problems/concerns associated with DB2 LUW functionality.
