QTC seeks a seasoned Database Administration Manager to partner with our technology and business leaders in developing our database systems.

What part would you play in this role?
As a Manager, Database Administration, you will implement and maintain overall database platforms, supporting the database environment of QTC application platform, and other database strategies and standards for the organization. You will also be responsible for staff oversight to ensure new database operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans are consistent with IT departmental goals as well as alignment to overall company goals and objectives
In this rewarding role, you will also:
- Oversee the implementation and management of all database architectures and platforms at QTC.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to Database Administration direct reports.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with key stockholders, vendors, and within internal teams to seek, qualify and leverage the best ideas, solutions and models to meet customer needs
- Develop, maintain, and administer database operational and administrative procedures, to meet or exceed Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Ensure compliance with any regulatory requirements related to SOX, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, PII and other QTC/Leidos Audits.
- Provide engineering and technical expertise on all issues, performance work requests, system improvement efforts, and operations and maintenance activities.
We seek candidates w/ the following skills/competencies:
- Highly experienced and proficient managing Relational Data platforms including Oracle and MS-SQL Server
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies as required.
- Strong understanding of process automation, complex problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Ability to manage competing priorities and ability to adapt to change.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- 10+ years of Database Engineering and administration experience
- 4+ years of experience supervising and leading engineering teams to manage Database platforms
- Strong hands-on skills. Can drill deep in to complex system design and implementation when needed
- Experience in modeling Logical and Physical databases design
- Extensive knowledge working with Database objects including stored procedures, triggers and indexes.
Pay and Benefits:
Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 w/ 10% annual bonus eligibility
