The New Mexico Center for Health Policy in the College of Population Health is seeking a Data Manager to oversee several large data sets on projects dedicated to serving and working with New Mexican and Native American communities across the State.
This position requires: expertise in database and project management programs, to include SAS, Python, Excel, RedCap, and Tableau. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with health services research and evaluation. Have integrity and professionalism. The ability to see the big picture and simultaneously attend to smaller details. Possess diplomacy, resourcefulness, responsiveness and flexibility. This position requires both independence and team-work. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Process, clean, and prepare Medicaid claims data for analysis
Build relational databases for analyses
Process, clean, and prepare monthly Medicaid data as it is received
Responsible for data oversight, including database development and maintenance, data entry and quality assurance, data queries and reporting to local and national stakeholders
Assist with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Responsible for project tracking systems and logistics
Creation of infographics and maps
Assist and advise with project implementation, training, and evaluation
Responsible for program metrics, reporting and data compliance
Assist with meeting facilitation, outreach, and grant writing as needed
Provide presentations and training to large audiences of diverse internal and external constituents

Conditions of EmploymentMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
