Data Entry Clerk -Temporary

Pay: 15.00-20.00/HR, based on experience

Work Hours: Negotiable, part-time

Job Description: The Data Entry Clerk will support our financial department by entering data into spreadsheets and programs used by Rochester Iron & Metal.

Essential functions

• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Keep sensitive information confidential
• Copy, file, and update paper and electronic documents
• Collect information and perform Data Entry
• Type in data quickly and efficiently

Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with peers
• Good computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• Time management, attention to detail, and strong organization skills

Physical demands

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Required education and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Will require a background check due to the type of data being handled

Preferred education and experience

• Clerical experience preferred.
• Computer Software Knowledge
• Demonstrates the ability to accurately enter data and use company software.
