Work Hours: Negotiable, part-time
Job Description: The Data Entry Clerk will support our financial department by entering data into spreadsheets and programs used by Rochester Iron & Metal.
Essential functions
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Keep sensitive information confidential
- Copy, file, and update paper and electronic documents
- Collect information and perform Data Entry
- Type in data quickly and efficiently
Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with peers
- Good computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Time management, attention to detail, and strong organization skills
Physical demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Required education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Will require a background check due to the type of data being handled
Preferred education and experience
- Clerical experience preferred.
- Computer Software Knowledge
- Demonstrates the ability to accurately enter data and use company software.
