Data Entry Clerk/Job Costing

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Data Entry/Job Costing Clerk. As a Job Costing/Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining various types of data into our computer systems. This is a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of job costing on large construction projects.

Duties:
- Enter and update data into computer systems, databases, or spreadsheets from active projects and update monthly job costs with vendors
- Verify the accuracy of data by comparing it to source documents from active projects
- Review and correct any errors or discrepancies in the data
- Perform regular data backups to ensure data preservation
- Close out and generate reports and summaries based on the entered data from time and material sheets along with the invoicing for closing out completed projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all data

Experience:
- Previous experience and knowledge of job costing and in Data Entry or a similar clerical role is preferred
- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Excel for Data Entry and analysis
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in data
- Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
