- The Data Analyst - NALCOMIS Administrator shall provide qualitative and quantitative analytical information to the Maintenance Manager/Site Manager allowing a continuous review of the management practices within the F-5 Program.
- Collect, collate and analyze maintenance data in support of Maintenance Management Programs, trend analysis requirements and the Management Information System. Provide analytical reports of aircraft material condition, utilization, maintenance workload, manpower utilization, failure trends and other reports as required. May be required to handle hazardous materials in performance of assigned duties.
- Responsible for the management of all aspects of the MDS to include NALCOMIS/OOMA reports/inquiries at the activity level.
- Must be customer oriented.
- Provide management with analytical reports on aircraft material condition and utilization, maintenance workload, manpower utilization, failure trends, and other reports.
- Collect, screen, forward all Maintenance Data System/Information.
- Collect data, prepare and submit the Monthly Maintenance Summary.
- Conduct MDS training for maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate with Data Service Facility in resolving MDS problem areas when required.
- Provide charts, graphs, and displays for presentations and the monthly maintenance plan, as required.
- Assist management in determining specific requirements for new types of data reports necessary to support the maintenance effort.
- Ensure all systems of the MDS are documented as outlined in COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series to include MDP, MR, and SCIR.
- Must have working knowledge of System Administrator/Analyst (SA/A) Responsibilities of the CNAFINST 4790.2B
- Must be able to collect data and generate clear, concise specialty reports as requested.
- Must be able to compute statistics, analyze, separate data and generate reports from available data.
- Must have mathematical computation ability.
- Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
- Must be able to work day shift, night shift or weekend duty and travel as part of a detachment as required.
- Will have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy.
- Perform other tasks as directed by management.
- Provides technical assistance, guidance and instruction as required.
- Maintains and/or completes required records and applicable maintenance forms
- Performs daily duties normally associated with this specialty.
- Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times.
- Assists in flight line foreign object prevention walks.
- Comply with Hazardous Waste Program.
- Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
- The Data Analyst/NALCOMIS Administrator must have two years of experience (within the last five years) as a SA/A working with the Navy's maintenance data collection system. Must be formally trained in Maintenance Data System (MDS) procedures to include NALCOMIS OOMA, data processing and statistical analysis. Must have the ability to provide the local expertise necessary to resolve MDS problems and ensure smooth NALCOMIS OOMA systems operations. Must have sufficient knowledge and experience to effectively provide qualitative and quantitative analytical information to the COR in accordance with the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2B.
- Must have completed NALCOMIS OOMA System Administrator course (Course C-555-0049).
- Must be able to qualify to operate/maintain the company network system within 180 days of hire.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Must have completed high school or equivalent.
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Demands:
This classification activity is usually accomplished in an office like environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office activities. May occasionally be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 30 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
