TransCore – Amtech Systems, LLC (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Test Driver II (CDL) to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Job Summary: The Test Driver II (CDL) will play a pivotal role in supporting our test team by driving vehicles in specific
scenarios at the Balloon Park and Jefferson test tracks, as well as occasionally at live tolling and bypass installation
sites. The position requires strict adherence to driving scenarios outlined by the test track coordinator, project
management, and systems engineering teams. Flexibility is crucial, as the driver may be required to support testing
on various shifts when needed. During periods of low testing demand, the Test Driver II will contribute by assisting manufacturing with simple assembly tasks.
Day Shift: 7:30am - 4:30pm, hours may vary.

Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Safely operate various types of commercial vehicles, such as Semi-trucks, buses, and TransCore
owned/rented/leased passenger vehicles. Strictly adhere to safety protocols and demonstrate a
commitment to maintaining a safe testing environment. - Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to achieve testing objectives.
- Coordinate with test track coordinator to address any repairs or issues promptly. Maintain the
cleanliness of the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift. - Must exhibit a willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing testing schedules.
- Responsible for clear and effective communication, demonstrating the ability to follow directions
and accept feedback. - Will effectively utilize timekeeping systems for tracking worked hours, employ computer systems
for training purposes, and adeptly use Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, for email
communication. - May perform simple and repetitive assembly or testing of assemblies or sub-assemblies in
Manufacturing when requested. - Other duties may be assigned based on the evolving needs of the testing and manufacturing
teams.
- Applicant must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) as a mandatory qualification for this position
- Must maintain driver’s license in good standing as verified by motor vehicle background check
- Must meet driving qualifications as set forth in TransCore’s Vehicle Policy & follow all applicable traffic laws
- Operate assigned vehicle in a courteous and safe manner
- Must have the ability to multitask and be well organized and timely
- Excellent customer service, communication, and people skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time
- Ability to execute verbal and written instructions
- Minimum of 21 years of age
