The Data Analyst will perform periodic and ad hoc reporting and data analysis. The Data Analyst will utilize tools such as SQL, MS Power BI, and Excel in support of the project. The Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting internal and external stakeholders such as Business Analysts, Program Leadership, and clients with a variety of complex reporting deliverables. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating complex streams of data, joining, and manipulating the data, and determining valuable insights. The Data Analyst should enjoy working with others in a team environment but also be motivated and able to operate autonomously when needed. The Data Analyst should have a true passion for data and enjoy using data to tell a story.
Position Responsibilities:
- Fielding requests from stakeholders, clarifying requirements, and responding with data that meets the end-users need.
- Develop reports and dashboards from epics, sub-epics, and user stories.
- Ensure requirements traceability to user stories and test cases.
- Building complex SQL queries to bring multiple data sources together.
- Development of operation and maintenance of reports that are compiled and delivered on a regular cadence.
- Support testing for each report and dashboard.
- Continually develop business knowledge to become a subject matter expert.
- Working with colleagues to iterate reporting deliverables into a more robust product.
- Identifying anomalies and discrepancies in reports and the underlying data.
- Quality assurance of existing reports.
- Utilize Power BI or other BI Platform technologies to creatively display complex data in a manner that can be digested by a wide audience.
- Attention to detail and accountability to meet critical deadlines.
- Flexibility in schedule depending on business needs.
- Familiarity with Agile-based Design/Development/Test processes
- Experience in Azure
- Ability to translate epics and stories into reports and dashboards.
- Experience analyzing data and presenting information to stakeholders.
- Experience designing and developing SQL queries.
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with programming or SQL or BI platform.
- Strong communication skills- writing, speaking, and listening.
- Experience with Jira or TFS desired
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business Discipline, computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 5 years of experience
- SAFe certification desired
