In the wide-ranging field of human services consulting, OSC/Lewin provides both depth and breadth of expertise. As a Research Consultant, you will perform a variety of research and analysis tasks to support consulting projects for federal and state governments, health plans, associations and foundations, hospitals, and health systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work with intelligent people on important policy issues in a positive team environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform healthcare policy-focused quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
  • Support project management including drafting contract management reports, tracking activities, and deliverables
  • Conduct literature reviews and synthesize research findings
  • Implement quality control protocols
  • Independently prepare information for clients, contribute to reports, and assist with project scheduling and coordination tasks


Position in this function is responsible to maintain a high degree of accuracy, along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, solid interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with other project members, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology or related field
  • Coursework in advanced economics or statistics
  • Experience with program evaluation
  • Quantitative analysis experience
  • Familiarity with statistical programming including SAS or Stata
  • Understanding of the Medicare and Medicaid policy


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college/university and 1+ years of relevant experience performing quantitative analysis, and preparing presentations and reports
  • Experience creating visualizations including maps
  • Experience with literature review and report development

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
