About the Team: The ZF Customs and Trade Compliance team is a critical-thinking and fast-paced group that manages customs compliance processes for our ZF North American facilities. This group focuses on daily trade operations, managing customs compliance solutions, and driving duty optimization initiatives for cost efficiency. This department has the unique position to work with all ZF divisions and departments globally to gain and enhance knowledge in all customs functional areas to be able to work very closely on exciting projects as ZF moves quickly into Next Generation Mobility. This department is excited and eager as it continues to grow its talented team and digitalized process base to become a benchmark of trade compliance within the automotive industry.
What you can look forward to as a Data Analyst - Customs:
- Translate Customs and Trade business needs into analytic questions and identify data sources and analysis methods to determine solutions.
- Develop and manage change processes for continuous improvement strategies within the customs.
- Support on-site plant audits and workshops to identify and implement customs compliance and duty optimization improvement initiatives.
- Communicate gained knowledge and insights from analytical analysis to stakeholders via infographics, dashboards, charts, graphs, and other applicable methods.
- Continually develop data querying using analytics methodologies and languages (MS SQL Server, Data modeling, Building analytics pipelines, or Machine Learning).
- Design, deploy, and manage data models, methods, and tools to analyze the ZF Supply Chain to identify savings and optimization opportunities.
- Develop creative and innovative approaches to apply advanced analytics methods to solve supply chain challenges and identify unforeseen opportunities.
- Develop and manage standardized and repeatable processes for gathering and interpreting complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your profile as a Data Analyst: Customs:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics or related field
- Experience with analyzing and interpreting data and/or supply chain-related processes
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
- Strong organization and time/project management skills
