The college invites applications for a full-time Data Analyst 2 to support our community of users in the use of college and university systems. Applicants must have an ability to respond to immediate demands, to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, to contribute positive interaction, and to give attention to detail in methodical problem solving.
Job Responsibilities:
End User Support 35%
Provide technical support to college users including staff using workstations and university systems and faculty/guests using instructional technology. Perform installation and maintenance of hardware and software.
System Support 30%
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades for workstations, laptops, servers, audio/visual equipment, and digital signage. Provide limited network support and investigate networking issues.
Internal Administration 20%
Manage IT hardware and software inventory and draft warranty support requests. Collaborate with the Assistant Dean to create/maintain IT standard operation procedures and user aid documentation.
Functional Communication 10%
Participate in weekly meetings to discuss project status, respond to help-desk requests, and consult with central help desk on specific cases.
Other duties as assigned by the Dean or Assistant Dean. 5%
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience.

Specific Experience - Experience with resolving problems with computer software, hardware and with improvement of computing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
Specific Experience - Experience configuring or programming web-based applications, data analytics pipelines, and/or database systems.
Preferred Certifications/Licenses: ITIL service management or equivalent certification is desirable.
Additional Requirements:
- FERPA -As with all LSU employees, due to this position title and/or responsibilities, this position has an obligation to assist students in the acquisition of necessary services.
