Our Opportunity
Maxxon Customer Service Specialists are the frontline in customer engagement. Often they are the first to know about large opportunities, technical issues, or major changes for our customers. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will provide frontline sales support to customers and sales representatives through order entry and assisting with questions on products, prices, lead times and other operational services.
Essential Functions
Relationships: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders. This includes assisting Maxxon’s customers through efficient order processing and responsiveness to questions and issues. Also develop relationships with key vendor customer service personnel and freight partners to ensure effective communication about stock position, lead times, logistics, etc.
- Communication: Work closely with Customer Service Manager and other customer service specialists to communicate effectively about customer order processing. Collaborate with team on Standard Procedures creation and ongoing process refinement.
- Data Management: Issue quotations and freight quotes, enter orders and manage communication of orders with customers, freight brokers and supply partners. Manage daily shipping confirmations, track orders, and communicate information to customers and sales managers.
- Data Analysis: Review products for coding, pricing, and reporting accuracy. Monitor inventory position and communicate to Customer Service Manager on stock levels or large order forecasts. Monitor freight trends to recommend new shipping options to customers and warehouses.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years in a Customer Support role
- Customer focus and adaptability to different personality and customer types
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication listening, written and oral communication skills
- Past experience with CRM systems and entering orders
- Self-motivated with the ability, and initiative, to actively learn and adapt in a growing organization
- M.S. Office proficiency
- Construction Industry Experience a plus
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Accounting Background a plus
