Customer Service Staff

Come join the Publix Team! We are hiring engaging, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals to work in our Customer Service department as a Customer Service Staffat your Publix at 20 Midtown! This store is located at 230 20th St, South, Birmingham, AL.

Job Description:

• Provides premier Customer Service, including greeting customers, answering their questions, and resolving issues.
• Handles money services such as check cashing, lottery, gift cards, money orders and Western Union transactions.
• Performs daily bookkeeping procedures such as balancing and reconciling cash drawers, maintains office accountability and prepares deposits.
• Answers and directs telephone calls.
• Maintains the cash office and equipment.
• Coordinates operations on the front-end to ensure premier service for our customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt Customer Service.
• Ability to read, write, and do simple math problems.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions.
• Prior experience in cash handling and basic accounting in a retail environment.
