POSITION SUMMARY
The Customer Service Representative will interact with the company’s customers by fielding customer calls, assisting customers in scheduling service appointments and resolving customers’ concerns. The position requires a lot of time on the phone, a good deal of patience and the ability to multi-task.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
- Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services.
- Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
- Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns.
- Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
- Utilize mapping/routing software to schedule services for multiple routes each day.
- Answering busy phone calls and immediately handling customer requests.
- Handling emailed scheduling changes from Service Professionals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Excellent communication skills including active listening.
- Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
- Ability to route/schedule Service Professionals
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Have prior routing/scheduling experience with a service company or dispatch experience
- Have prior call center experince
- Capable of multi-tasking, handling multiple phone lines, and be proficient on a computer,
- Microsoft experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least two years of related experience required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job is usually performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor. The ability to communicate orally with employees, management, customers, and business associates both individually and in front of a group is crucial.
Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Requires good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copier/scanners).
