A Midland County service provider is seeking a reliable Customer Service Representative to join their team! This is a full-time, temp-hire opportunity after a reliable attendance record has been demonstrated as well as a positive work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Answering Phone Lines: Handling incoming calls, taking messages, transferring calls to appropriate personnel, and providing information to callers.
- Setting Appointments: Scheduling appointments for clients or customers, coordinating with staff members to ensure availability, and managing calendars effectively.
- Inputting Estimates and Invoices: Entering data accurately into the system, which may include creating invoices based on estimates provided by the sales or service team.
- Logging and Entering Receipts: Keeping track of financial transactions, logging receipts into accounting software, and ensuring accurate record-keeping for expenses.
- Shipping and Tracking Packages: Managing outgoing shipments, preparing packages for delivery, coordinating with courier services, and tracking packages to ensure timely delivery.
- Helping Booking Travel Arrangements: Assisting with travel plans for staff members or clients, including booking flights, hotels, rental cars, and other accommodations.
Skills:
- Ability to demonstrate a reliable and dependable attendance record.
- A positive, "can-do" attitude and team work mentality.
- Customer Service skills including being able to interact professionally and courteously with a broad customer base.
- Ability to navigate basic computer systems.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Email: Being skilled in using these software tools for document creation, spreadsheet management, and email communication. This may include creating reports, maintaining spreadsheets for data tracking, and managing email correspondence efficiently.
- Excellent Attention to Detail: Being meticulous and thorough in tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and record-keeping to minimize errors and ensure accuracy.
- Customer Service/Phone Skills: Possessing excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, customers, and colleagues over the phone or in-person. This includes active listening, problem-solving, and maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor.
