Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for policy maintenance and service of client accounts. This position will be expected to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous support service to clients and coworkers.
Responsibilities:
- Review renewals
- Quote and offer additional lines of business
- Quote and process endorsement requests
- Take claim reports
- Assist clients with billing and payments
- Make recommendations to agents/producers for other lines of business i.e., life, commercial lines
- Check policy for accuracy (comparing it to the proposal and agency management system) and handle corrections according to agency guidelines
- Manage the change request and endorsement process according to agency guidelines
- Review follow up list on a daily basis and take appropriate action
- Prepare renewal exposure requests
- Prepare draft proposals and renewal documents
- Prepare evidence and proofs of coverage and forward to appropriate parties
- Prepare loss summaries
- Prepare applications for remarketing and quote with different carriers
Competencies:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able familiar with the Epic management system and various carrier portals. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Must possess and maintain active P & C License(s)
- Individual should have a working knowledge of commercial and/or personal insurance with a minimum 3+ years of experience
- CISR, AINS, or equivalent designation preferred, but not required
Computer Skills:
Demonstrated strong PC skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook knowledge
Experience with the Agency Management System Applied Epic
Other Qualifications:
- Must be organized, efficient, detail-oriented, able to focus on multiple priorities and possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must have the ability to effectively work with others
- A positive, team-oriented attitude is necessary to effectively work with a large variety of personalities
