We are a family-owned, family friendly local propane company located in East Alabama and Panama City, FL looking for a competent Office Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of our Notasulga branch. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and reliable professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and bookkeeping duties. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail while providing excellent Customer Service. While Summer is a relatively calm time for our company, winter is often fast-paced.
Responsibilities
- Working with our valued customers on a daily basis while providing a high level of Customer Service
- Answering phone and scheduling gas deliveries and service appointments
- Working with Home Office on monthly financial reports
- Taking payments, mailing bills
- Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
- Sort and distribute communications to driver and manager in a timely manner
- Update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
- Monitor office supplies
- Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues from home office
- Coordinate with home office to ensure compliance with established policies
- Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues
Skills
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Basic computers skills and ability to learn our bookkeeping software
- Working knowledge of office equipment
- Able to motivate other employees and work in a team environment
- Understanding of office management procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
