Shift Hours: (M-F) 8 AM- 4:30 PM
Purpose of the Position: Under moderate supervision supports the Company vision, mission, and strategic plan by providing telephone, internet and counter customers with product and service information, taking orders, and resolving product and/or service problems in an accurate and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works towards service excellence by providing telephone and internet customers, both internal and external, with the accurate and timely product and service information in accordance with Company standards.
- Accurately and in a timely fashion, enters customer orders in the database, verifying and communicating product availability and delivery information. Provides Account Application forms and forwards Account Application and Customer Inquiry forms to Accounting. To the best of the individual’s ability, reviews orders needing pricing.
- Within designated guidelines, resolves product or service problems by clarifying the complaint, determining the cause of the problem, offering alternatives and solutions to the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution. Fills out all CIQ’s electronically, following the CIQ process.
- Communicates effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers, acting as a daytime liaison between customers, customer care associates, and the rest of the Organization. Follows proper telephone and email etiquette.
- Follows standardized work procedures, departmental processes, and Company guidelines.
- Maintains attendance at or above designated standards, is available to answer customer calls at assigned start time, and works overtime when necessary and asked by the manager.
