Customer Service Rep

The Emergency Veterinary Hospital of Eugene-Springfield (EVH) is seeking a full-time Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our growing team. Previous veterinary triage experience in role of client service and/or veterinary technician/assistant preferred. EVH offers a rewarding career in the veterinary field, serving the needs of pet owners in the greater western Oregon region. Our 24-hour Emergency Hospital works around the clock to serve the needs of our local area and beyond.

***Schedule is either Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, 4-10’s – swing shift and/or overnights shifts available. Shift times may be flexible and vary depending on the successful candidate’s availability and desired hours.

A successful candidate will possess a deep-rooted passion for the companion-animal bond between the pet and their owners. Understanding that the services we provide are for when situations for that pet owner are at their most critical point. As the “face” of our practice, you are a champion! Our Client Service Representatives are advocates for both the pets we treat, but also for the clients as well as for the hospital team. In Veterinary Medicine, there is no “black or white”, only a vast see of gray that we proceed through with the utmost caution, patience and understanding. You must be flexible, adapt quickly and enjoy a fast-paced workflow that is ever-changing and challenging.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email)
• 3+ years Excellent Customer Service Experience
• 2+ years Veterinary Industry experience in a hospital setting (CSR/Tech/VA roles)
• 1+ years Cash Handling/Payment Processing Experience
• Strong ability to focus during highly emotional situations while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Patience, Compassion and Empathy towards others is expected at all times
• Excellent Demonstrated Written/Verbal Communication skills
• Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability is a MUST!
• Ability to adapt and learn in an ever-changing environment
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs., stand for short periods of time and assist clients/patients outside with entry into the facility.
