Lifetime Creations is an ecommerce retailer for personalized gifts - you can find us on Amazon, Etsy, and lifetimecreations.net. We laser engrave, embroider, and sublimate gifts at our warehouse in Merrillville, IN for weddings, holidays, and other special occasions.

Role
Creating a world-class shopping experience for customers is one of our top priorities. The person in this role will be instrumental in helping create this and will also help meet our monthly sales goals.
Location
For the first 30 days, onsite in Merrillville, IN near Taft and Route 30; After 30 days, this position can be remote 2 days a week.
Hours
- Full time, hourly position
- Average 38-40 hours per week between the hours of 7:30am - 4pm, Monday through Friday. We also offer optional summer hours
- Some overtime, evening, and weekend shifts may be necessary during peak production periods (e.g. leading up to the Christmas holiday season). However, work-life balance is one of the reasons we exist as a company, and working more than 40 hours/week on a regular basis is neither something that is expected nor encouraged.
Responsibilities
Customer service job duties:
- This is NOT a call center job. Phone calls do occasionally come in, but being an online retailer, your written communication skills and ability to come across as friendly and helpful are critical.
- Provide outstanding support across three e-commerce platforms that creates an exceptional shopping experience via email, messaging, online chat, and phone (no walk-in customers)
- Maintain our Customer Service record at a 5-star level through professional, friendly, and prompt communication
- Put customers at ease with any complaints or concerns and solve problems quickly; escalate issues as needed, and ensure issues are resolved
- Provide expert guidance on features and benefits of products, and assist customers with placing orders and answering questions
- Foster long-term relationships with customers by going the extra mile to exceed their expectations
- Work with graphic designer and production team to make order changes and solve any order issues
- Manage reports tracking reviews, any customer complaints, and order issues
Sales-related duties
- Achieve monthly sales goals
- Increase order conversions through responding to emails and online chat
- Identify upsell opportunities for individual customers
- Assist in researching and contacting sales prospects, and other business development opportunities
- Provide weekly sales reports with bulk order inquiries and update our CRM system; follow up with leads
- Update sales presentation templates for corporate leads
- Support team and help with other duties or projects as needed

Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of Customer Service and/or sales experience
- Outstanding listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent people management skills - highly customer focused, responsive and flexible
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures and written instructions with limited supervision
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Google Docs, and web-based programs generally
- Proficient typing speed
Requirements (non-negotiable and must be verifiable)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Provide at minimum 3 professional references upon request
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
