Position Summary: This position acts as a help desk subject matter expert for driver's license examiners for the State of Kansas and other state's help desks. Trouble shoot KanLicense, Celtic, Lexis Nexis and Idemia transaction issues. Assist with policy and procedures for Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) Driver's Licensing. Process credentials through the Renew by Mail All in One (AIO) workstation for Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC). Work includes manual process of out of state surrenders. Logging, tracking, packing, and shipping state and county supplies. This position will also be responsible for answering emails for American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Commercial Driver's License Information System (CDLIS) and Problem Driver Pointer System (PDPS), Help Desk for the public, Medical Certification, Online renewal and replacement, Driver's License Examiner assistance. This position will be responsible for working the KanLicense Support Portal daily, which includes Driver's License Number (DLN) Survey, Duplicate Errors, and Uni Error Log. Includes working various internal reports and reports received by (AAMVA) weekly. Update Department of Transportation (DOT) medical cards received electronically or by mail. Processing convictions received electronically for out of state drivers and reviewing convictions received. Track and update Hazmat approval/denials. Send out correspondence to drivers that need assistance.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience in interviewing, investigating, or providing technical assistance to clients, customers, or the public, and two years of experience or education in auditing or accounting support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Licensing & Certification: Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license to perform the essential functions of this position.
Preferred Experience: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internal KDOR Systems.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: KBI and FBI fingerprint required due to involvement in application/issuance process for KS Driver's License and/or KS ID Card.
