Job Description
The DHS CISA Infrastructure Security Division, Office of Chemical Security (OCS) owns the Chemical Security Assessment Tool (CSAT) Suite, which supports the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) Program and allows individuals across the public-private sector to collect, protect, share, manage, analyze, and visualize information on regulated chemical security. Since the CSAT system is built from a foundation of complex information technology (IT) engineering and data analytics, a robust staff and engineering support is required to operate and maintain the system.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Database Administrator II shall:
- Maintain the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases.
- Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database.
- Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.
- Perform Oracle Database and Application server administration.
- Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes.
- Perform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.
- Evaluate requirements and recommends available DBMS products.
- Support data modeling activities by way of prototype database implementations
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) to ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Experience running/executing scripts
- Experience doing performance tuning on database systems
- Proven experience delivering on customer requirements
- Experience with implementing enterprise applications
- Experience enhancing and configuring database with design, development, implementation, test and documentation
- Experience with Oracle databases
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred).
