The Team:

The Work:
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for building a thorough understanding of the client’s database architecture, data, and operational needs. You will be responsible for building, managing, operating, and continuously improving database and tools infrastructure in support of a Federal client.
As the Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will develop and maintain database policies, standards, and overall documentation including availability, replication, and backup & recovery policies. You will be responsible for building, deploying, and stabilizing code, services, systems and tools; driving standardization and service-focused instrumentation, resolving break/fix scenarios, and engaging broader teams as necessary. You will develop solutions to problems working closely with other engineering teams like Storage, Systems, Platforms, and Networks.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Be able to work with clients, peers, and management in a highly visible, mission critical environment.
  • Be able to gather, organize, prioritize technical requirements.
  • Designing database structures & good understanding of data modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of Materialized views and query rewrite functionality.
  • Develop PL SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers.
  • Develop data transformation and validation scripts.
  • Develop Unix scripts for automatic processing of back-end jobs.
  • Maintenance of all database objects and purging process of large tables.
  • Performance tuning which impacts the UI and back-end jobs.
  • Work on product support on analysis, fix and patch release process.
  • Provide emergency production support to mission critical operations.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of experience with Oracle databases
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Developer
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing a migration plan for large data sets and complex data architectures
  • 5+ years of experience with procedure coding, demonstrating excellent capabilities in crafting efficient and optimized code
  • 3+years experience in debugging queries and enhancing query performance for optimal system efficiency.
  • 3+ years of experience in elevating overall database performance through strategic optimizations and enhancements.
  • US Citizenship is required (required by the federal government for this position).
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
