Responsibilities:
- Perform account analysis and review outstanding balances
- Contact customers via phone or email to collect on overdue payments
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with customers
- Update customer records and maintain accurate documentation of collection activities
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional phone etiquette
Requirements:
- Previous experience in collections or a related field is preferred
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with customers
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools
- Understanding of debits, credits, and basic financial concepts
- Excellent math skills for accurate calculations and reconciliations
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze account information accurately
