As a Collection Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by effectively managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely payment from clients. You will be responsible for communicating with customers to resolve outstanding debts, negotiating payment plans, and implementing strategies to minimize overdue payments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Follow-up on overdue payments and outstanding invoices.
- Negotiating payment arrangements.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies in payments or billing issues.
- Maintaining accurate records of calls and payment status.
- Complying with all applicable regulations and legal requirements governing debt collection practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using collection software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging or confrontational situations.
- Familiarity with debt collection laws and regulations.

We offer competitive starting hourly wages complemented by an uncapped bonus/commission structure paid out monthly. This full-time position requires a 40-hour work week with flexible scheduling between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm EST. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a minimum of a High School Diploma. As a key part of our team, you must demonstrate initiative and articulate effectively when communicating with delinquent accounts over the phone.
