Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst will be responsible for analyzing current credit data and financial statements of individuals or firms to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Prepare reports with this credit information for use in decision-making.

DUTIES

• Collect and analyze financial data to help identify the degree of risk associated with requested loans.
• Track compliance with loan agreement covenants on significant relationships.
• Accurately spread financial information utilizing credit analysis software.
• Prepare written credit analyses to be presented at loan committee.
• Read, analyze, and interpret financial statements and tax returns.
• Work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Provide loan review and other reports to management.
• Complete internal appraisal reviews.
• Provide property inspections for construction projects.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within their capabilities as determined by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Prior credit analysis experience is a plus.

Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data required.

Ability to work on multiple transactions simultaneously and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex financial information and identify relevant risks.

Excellent written and verbal skills required.

Proficiency with computers and MS Office software required.
