Your New Role

TNT, tbs and truTV Marketing offer an in-depth introduction to Marketing in the Entertainment industry. The Entertainment Marketing internship is a holistic experience in creating high-level entertainment industry marketing campaigns. The internship will expose undergraduate students to the fast-paced work environment developing well rounded marketing campaigns while working cross functionally with our Social Media, On-Air, Digital, Media Planning, Legal, Finance and Brand Creative teams. The Marketing team is inclusive and welcomes fresh new ideas on how to promote the programming we love. Interns opinions are valued not only from the perspective of the evolving higher educational systems but also as young consumers who fall within our targets.

This internship will be located in the ATL area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern managers in office schedule.

Your Role Accountabilities

Tangible projects include:
  • Overall campaign ideation, themes, creative and tactics to hit our targets
  • Media recommendations
  • Partnership research, composing pitches and opportunities to collaborate with partners
  • Promotional pitches & competitive research
  • Digital & Social ideation
  • Creative collaboration across teams
  • Tracking results for marketing promotions
  • Write episode summaries for upcoming shows
  • Competitive analysis
  • Help organize and traffic linear, digital, and social assets
  • Summer semester project with TNets interns to present to Marketing leadership at end of internship

At the end of the semester, the intern will have examples to share of how they directly impacted the campaigns, a strong understanding of the behind-the-scenes of marketing for an entertainment company and hands on experience with marketing campaigns. Additionally, we will introduce and help set up meetings for the different disciplines within the WBD organization for our intern to leave with a broader understanding of not only Marketing, but also the inter-workings of our internal partners and how collaboration is a necessity to bring campaigns to life.

  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently once given direction

  • The ability to take constructive feedback and make adjustments as needed

  • Have a passion for and experience in creating positive consumer interactions

  • Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior *Undergrad* Student (18 years or older)

  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)

And finally, what to know before applying:

  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks. Program date options are below:

  • Option 1: June 3rd – August 16th

  • Option 2: June 10th – August 23rd

Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.

  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.

  • Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
