Long Description

Southwire’s Communications and Giving Back team is seeking a creative advisor, graphic designer and communicator to support the company’s focus to be an employer of choice. This individual will play an integral role in Southwire’s recruitment and brand marketing efforts – visually sharing the company’s story and highlighting the elements that make Southwire an employer of choice.

This Creative Specialist will serve as a partner to Southwire’s Talent Acquisition team and will work alongside the company’s recruitment marketing and communications experts to bring concepts, campaigns, strategies and targeted messages to life through visuals. This individual will interact internally and externally, communicating with leaders, current and future team members and other key stakeholders and community partners. Examples of work may include designing social media graphics, career fair materials, ad campaigns, website graphics, flyers, promotional items and other communication/marketing materials.
This individual will be exposed to a wide range of activities from tactical to strategic, including the development of recruitment marketing campaigns and accompanying materials. This position will provide opportunities to develop and implement your own creative initiatives and ideas. The Creative Specialist will need high energy, focus and the ability to digest, create, execute and present work in a collaborative work environment. Must be a team player who enjoys working with other team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Southwire’s Talent Acquisition team to visually share the company’s story with future team members in a meaningful and engaging way
  • Develop, create and present recruitment marketing strategies and materials, including but not limited to social media graphics, career fair collateral, advertising campaigns, website graphics, promotional items and other communication/marketing materials
  • Leverage, promote and improve usage of The Circuit (FirstUp platform) as the preferred internal communication tool for internal talent acquisition messaging and other companywide communications
  • Anticipate customer needs and synthesize requests, breaking down complex projects into visually appealing and easy-to-understand deliverables
  • Effectively partner with third party vendors for appropriate printing, output and delivery
  • Work closely with third party photography and videography partners to build inclusive and meaningful content for campaigns and collateral
  • Serve as key member of Southwire’s Communications and Giving Back team, providing creative advisement and partnership to internal and external stakeholders
  • Other communication-related duties as assigned (participating in Giving Back initiatives, supporting team-wide initiatives, attending events, etc.).

Long Description

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ yrs related experience Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Digital Social Media
  • Strong proficiency in visual production computer software, including Adobe CC (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint). Intermediate to advanced knowledge of design, print media and visual production required. Proficient technical skills Adobe creative suite, FirstUp Studio
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and synthesize requests to create visually-appealing and easy-to-understand deliverables.
  • Skilled at receiving and responding to feedback from a variety of sources.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Help create effective messaging content and be able to create sample layouts or concepts.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving capabilities and have great attention to detail, reviewing work for errors before submission.
  • Ability to navigate in both Mac and PC environments.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must possess strong time management and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with a variety of internal and external partners, including executives and senior leaders, company owners, community partners and other departments to meet business needs.

Specialized Degree: Equivalent combination education and experience
