OVERVIEW

We’re looking for experienced and enthusiastic Videographer to join our creative team in the Atlanta, GA area. Our ideal candidate has an exceptional eye when it comes to product-focused content, proven video capture and still photography skills. You should have exceptional lighting skills and be able to create gamer-focused scenes that feel as authentic as they are engaging. Almost as importantly, you should not only be a passionate gamer, but also be in touch with the culture that surrounds the gaming community. Armed with that, you will be able to understand marketing briefs and translate them into visual content that will connect with our consumers and deliver results.

As part of the creative team within the SCUF marketing department, you will work on a variety of creative projects and be responsible for shooting a variety of content. From product and lifestyle stills to insight-led creative campaign videos and social content, your work will embody our brand and directly impact its perception, awareness, and generate interest in our products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Video capture: produces brand content, product videos, product education videos, paid and social ads, influencer/partner videos and interviews, can execute on set lighting, and more
  • Photography: product, lifestyle, environmental, event, partners, and more
  • Ideas: able to concept engaging content that’s relevant and connected to both our core and growing gaming audiences

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shoot video capturing product, player content, documentaries, testimonials and interviews, live events and much more
  • Develop all aspects of video production including but not limited to storyboarding, scripting, lighting, shooting, and audio production
  • Plan and shoot product and lifestyle still photography sessions
  • Collaborate with the creative team to identify talent needs and then act as the point of contact working directly with talent agencies and location bookings for all shoots
  • Work closely with Video Editor and 3D Motion Designer on all content, and support/assist with video editing when needed
  • Maintain a current, searchable library of all video projects, photos, and B-roll
  • Manage, maintain, and keep all video and audio equipment in good working order
  • Lead and participate in team brainstorms and other ideation sessions
  • Work on several projects at once, sometimes under pressure, and often under tight deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must provide an online portfolio and/or reel showcasing previous work upon applying ( Applicants without this will NOT be considered)
  • Expert working knowledge with camera equipment (digital cameras, video recording cameras), lighting equipment (spotlights, handheld lights) and audio equipment (microphones)
  • Strong scenic and lighting skills; you should be able to light dark gaming room scenes, product photography, and scripted scenarios with ease
  • Experience with working with casting agencies to find the right talent for the content we’re creating
  • Excellent time management skills to work within tight deadlines, capturing action and once-in-a-lifetime moments on camera
  • Capable of being a nimble participant in the gaming community, proactive enough to stay on trend and quickly drive content ideas and in-the-moment production
  • Comfortable with casting and wardrobe decisions, as well as providing direction on set
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with people of all ages from all walks of life, helping them feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera
  • Strong working knowledge of videography systems, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and other graphics/editing programs
  • Understand the role of a creative brief, how work should flow from it, and how to develop ideas against it
  • Ability to effectively present work in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Exercise excellent time management, project scoping, decision-making, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Able to take direction and feedback well, and execute dictated design ideas when necessary
  • Detail oriented self-starter with the ability to prioritize, manage and efficiently complete multiple projects
  • Open to change and highly adaptable to shifting needs and deadlines
  • 3-7 years of experience in-house, agency or publisher required
  • Bachelor’s degree in art, design, film, or related field required
