About the Job

We currently have an opportunity for a Copywriter Temporary to join our Creative Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for writing exciting and innovative copy across our brands, developing and maintaining distinctive voices per brand, and translating business strategies into engaging concepts and copy for campaigns that span site, e-mail design, in-store signage, social media, content for both digital and print. There is also opportunity to contribute to our larger brand On-line video/ TV advertising campaigns. We’re looking for big idea people who know how to add that unexpected twist to copy, from headlines to longform blogs.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

  • Develop strategic, creative, and engaging copy for our house of brands (Men’s Wearhouse, Moores, Jos. A. Bank, K&G)
  • Write for assignments ranging from big ideas for campaigns to editorial and promotional assets such as emails, banner ads, website assets, blog content, gift guides, direct mail, in-store signage, and print collateral across multiple merchandise categories for the brand.
  • Partner with Copy Manager, Art Directors, Designers, and Brand Stakeholders to ensure messaging works in design and ladders back to the briefs, campaigns, businesses, and messaging strategies.
  • Work to meet strategic goals, evolve brand voice, create consistency, and employ effective retail messaging best practices.
  • Contribute to content for special creative initiatives.


What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience

  • Stellar communication and written English skills, including exceptional spelling and grammar.
  • 5+ years’ experience working for creative ad agency and/or an in-house creative team.
  • Skilled at developing copy and concepts for a retail environment for multiple channels, including digital and print.
  • Skilled at developing and maintaining unique and ownable brand voices.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of menswear.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A love and understanding for language.
  • Proactive and hardworking with a positive outlook.
  • Creative problem solver who thrives on collaboration.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Advertising, Journalism, or related field
  • A creative portfolio demonstrating experience in creative copywriting.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a remote location.

The starting salary for this position is $77,000– $113,400 and may increase to $134,820 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
