SUMMARY
The Coordinator of Corporate Communications is responsible for supporting the Director of Corporate Communications and the communications team in the development, conceptualization, and execution of internal and external communications initiatives across Hallmark Media’s business. The coordinator will oversee core administrative responsibilities and be a key point of contact with other internal departments, including Human Resources, Admin, Legal, Distribution, Ad Sales, Government Relations, Marketing, Digital, and more, supporting the Director of Communications in the execution of various communications strategies that elevate the company and its workforce.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review, draft, and maintain internal and external messaging documents, including company milestones and boilerplates
- Draft press releases and develop pitch ideas related to Hallmark Media distribution, marketing, digital, and consumer product initiatives; create, maintain, and update relevant media contact lists
- Draft award submissions related to the company and its executives
- Assist in drafting communications to all Hallmark Media employees regarding various business news and developments
- Collaborate with human resources on various initiatives and internal communications
- Draft and publish content on company LinkedIn page pertaining to new hires, executive awards, company accolades, and more
- Maintain corporate website and dedicated page on company’s intranet site, HallPortal, ensuring that all content is up-to-date and accurate
- Alongside the Director, serve as key brand ambassador to colleagues of the Hallmark Enterprise at Hallmark Global and Crayola
- Assist Director in the development and execution of Hallmark Media corporate social responsibility efforts through in-depth research projects and campaign execution support
- Conduct a variety of research projects related to corporate social responsibility campaigns, internal communications, and more
- Collaborate with Hallmark Media publicity and talent relations & events coordinators on department assignments and research projects
- Responsible for managing and providing guidance to seasonal department interns
- Process department invoices and manage and renew department dues and subscriptions
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year of Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Publicity or related experience
- Outgoing self-starter with strong writing and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Cision, DaVinci, and Smartsheet
- Prior experience and knowledge working with social media platforms
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must be reliable and possess an eagerness to provide business results
- Bachelor’s degree is required with emphasis in Communication, Public Relations, English, Journalism or related field highly desired
The hourly range for this job is between $21.73 - $27.16 (about $45,200 - $56,490 annually). Hourly rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
