IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Provide initial review of CLE program request submissions, including invitations and course materials, to ensure programs are eligible for CLE credit in the requested jurisdictions.
Prepare, submit, and track CLE applications and post-program attendance reporting for submission to jurisdictional credit agencies. Distribute CLE certificates to attendees for both internal and client-facing programs.
Develop and utilize expert knowledge to respond to lawyers and staff with information regarding the CLE presentation process; jurisdictional accreditation; compliance requirements; and other related matters.
Develop and maintain the requisite knowledge and skill to assist with training new CLE staff on how to use the learning management system (LMS) and CLE database and follow the department procedures.
Assist with the preparation of annual jurisdictional CLE audit reports to maintain Jones Day's accredited CLE provider status.
Plan and coordinate remote/hybrid/group cast programs, including coordinating technology tests with administrative personnel and conference technology teams across offices and internal or external presenters.
Schedule and arrange remote/hybrid/group and one-on-one meetings, including the Lawyer Training & Development Committee meetings, and track participation.
Input and maintain training program curriculum information in the LMS database.
Work with external vendors to manage and update access.
Process invoices and create expenditure reports for the Lawyer Training & Development Committee review.
Assist with other tasks and special projects, as needed.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of modern training delivery techniques.
Proficiency in using webinar tools, such as Webex, MS Teams and Zoom.
Advanced knowledge and capability with databases and general office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.
Strong analytical, communications, and customer services skills.
Self-starter with ability to work independently and work with a wide range of people in a team setting.
Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and tasks with a commitment to professional development.
Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback to improve skills and work product.
Ability to maintain discretion on confidential and/or sensitive matters involving client and staffing isssues
