THE POSITION:
The ideal candidate is an entry-level/junior professional with a strong writing foundation and eager to grow and utilize their creativity across a diverse range of communications and marketing channels. This role will assist with the implementation of communications, creative services, and digital marketing projects and initiatives. In doing so, the individual will frequently engage with the corporate team and franchise system. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential. Additionally, the candidate should excel as an impactful ideator who works well with a team to bring ideas to fruition, seeing what needs to be done and taking the initiative to get it done. Someone who gets excited by new challenges and growth opportunities and is also self-motivated to prioritize and execute tasks to completion is what we are looking for.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and schedules social media content and campaigns and makes recommendations for improvements
- Collaborates with the Corporate Communications Manager to help develop content for blogs, web pages, emails and other assets as assigned—all with SEO in mind
- Helps monitor our co-marketing platform and social media management tool, helping optimize performance and troubleshoot or escalate issues as needed
- Regularly monitors the digital online presence of the franchise system and escalates issues as needed to help ensure brand consistency, i.e., social media, brand asset use, website issues, reviews and more
- Oversees the strategy, development and deployment of monthly newsletters
- Provides support for PR efforts as needed
- Assists internal teams with eMarketing communication initiatives for a wide variety of audiences and helps establish campaign cadence and deployment as needed
- Manages eMarketing list management
- Supports the development and execution of targeted marketing initiatives that promote the organization and its services
- Collaborates with our Brand Marketing Manager to establish a monthly marketing plan on the HomeWell Marketing Hub platform for franchisees
- Assist where needed for web content updates and development
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and departments
- Requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience writing for communications, marketing, and/or public relations
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
- Strong organizational skills and excellent follow-through
- Excellent project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Fundamental knowledge of SEO
- Knowledge of all major social and networking platforms
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability and desire to work in a cooperative, professional, and friendly manner
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Thrives on exceeding goals and meeting deadlines
- Solid understanding of current trends in digital media/social media and SEO
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Knowledge of Constant Contact, WordPress, SOCi and Adobe products is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related field
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: This remote position is primarily sedentary.
