CatFace is a YouTube entertainment company, home to a family of channels with over 20 million combined subscribers and an average of 300 million views per month. Our goal is to entertain our audience with fun, light-hearted narratives and entertaining content for both children and young adults. A vital component of our business is creating multiple unique stories every week in order to keep our audience engaged.

About the Job

Our company works to bring in millions of views daily on YouTube, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Content Manager to bring our creative ideas to life. As a Content Manager, you'll lead a team of 4-5 writers, managing the workflow from idea generation to production with an eye towards visual storytelling. Your responsibilities will include developing fun, lighthearted, and comedic scripts that target an audience of viewers aged 5-15, researching previous successes and current trends to create viral video frameworks, and ensuring the logical flow and consistent tone of all writing produced by the writing team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading a team of 4-5 writers to create several amusing, whimsical, and humorous scripts weekly while maintaining strict adherence to the brand's tone and voice.
• Managing the workflow from creation, feedback, revisions, and production of up to 10 scripts a week with an eye towards visual storytelling.
• Pitching ideas daily for multiple video concepts and outlining concepts into scripts
• Research previous successes and analyze current trends to create viral video frameworks.
• Utilize statistical performance of prior Aphmau content to drive innovation and improvement of new scripts.
• Utilize tools to produce rough concept art to match Minecraft idea generation.
• Utilize AI to enhance and speed up processes ensuring consistent tone of all writing produced by the writing team. 
• Take initiative and expertly manage their team while maintaining awareness of all ongoing projects. 
• Commit to keeping Monday.com updated with detailed information about the project's writing process and video specifics. 
• Attend manager meetings and give constructive feedback to the team to make appropriate revisions.
• Identify process improvements and implement them - innovation for success.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Creative Writing, Screenwriting, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in content creation, scriptwriting, or other relevant fields.
• Exceptional leadership skills, leading by example and delegation.
• Ability to write comedic sketches and scripts that follow our creative vision, making original and unique situations.
• Have deep insight and awareness of the latest trends, humor, and preferences of children and teens while also being able to blend their creativity with strategic thinking and consistently create captivating content that strengthens connections and loyalty with our target market.
• Ability to keep a positive and fun creative mood while being humble enough to learn and let us teach you.
• Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and turnarounds - adaptability is key!
• Effectively can give and receive constructive feedback from upper management to the writing team. It's all about the desire to improve.
• Experience generating ideas and expanding them into outlines in the voice of established characters.
• Efficient and timely communication skills.
• Takes initiative, after familiarization with our processes, to lead their team effectively without the need for micromanagement, regularly updating on team status, delays, WFH/OOO, and prioritizing responsibility and reliability.
