The Superintendent holds the responsibility of overseeing daily site construction activities, managing all necessary field personnel to ensure the successful completion of the project within the designated schedule and budget. This encompasses upholding the highest quality standards, supervising trade and field personnel, and implementing effective construction safety practices throughout all on-site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the construction schedule, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Manage material orders and schedule inspections as needed throughout the construction process.
- Interpret and comprehend project plans and specifications.
- Serve as the technical professional for the estimating team.
- Lead the project team in planning and executing work plans, submittals, and revisions to meet evolving needs.
- Foster positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
- Champion job site safety, encourage safe practices, and promptly address hazards.
- Ensure compliance with the company safety policy among all employees and contractors.
- Maintain an organized and clean job site, including the construction office.
- Collaborate with Quality Control and Health and Safety representatives to uphold company and project standards.
- Mitigate company exposure and project performance risks.
- Supervise subcontractor and vendor procurement, material buyout, and logistics coordination.
- Prepare field reports, track quantities, and submit applications for payment and other project-related documents.
- Conduct constructability reviews on project designs.
- Collaborate with design teams to identify value engineering opportunities.
- Work with others to generate project schedules as required.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.
- MUST have experience with military barracks - dormitory multi-story renovation managing $20M+ projects
- Educational Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree may be necessary, depending on project criteria.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of recent experience in positions such as Project Superintendent, Construction Manager, Project Engineer/Scientist, or Quality Control for construction and/or Remediation projects.
- Certification: OSHA 30 certification is a mandatory qualification.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in successfully managing projects ranging from $1MM to $30MM.
- A valid driver’s license is a prerequisite.
- CESCL preferred
- COE CQM preferred

- Familiarity with commercial scheduling software like MSProject or Primavera P6.
- Capable of performing tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ability to oversee all aspects of construction projects for various clients and project delivery methods.
- Understanding of the estimating process.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
